Biography

I am a mixed media artist and printmaker working in my garden studio since I left nursing ten years ago. I’ve always had a passion for art and so thankful to be able to spend all my days surrounded by paints, collage, inks and tools of the trade! I have a big smile on my face just walking to my studio in the mornings!

My paintings and print work are inspired by Port Isaac, in Cornwall, travels, architecture, my pets, objects as well as anything with bright colours. My latest series is based on doggies with adding chine collee to each one with bright backgrounds.
I love to use patterned paper in my paintings as well as newsprints, stencilling, oil pastels, and anything else I can get hold of. With lino printing, I also use patterned papers in my lino cuts and love to use many colours or tones in my lino reduction prints.

I am a member of Buckinghamshire Craft Guild and The Visual Arts Group. I enjoy opening my studio and showing my paintings and paintwork in June every year as part of Bucks Art Weeks.

I have taken part in the Royal Society of British Artists this Feb/March at the Mall Galleries, and also as part of the Society of Women’s exhibition and the ING Discerning Eye exhibition. I’ve also had the pleasure of exhibiting in St. Ives, Cornwall and Bath as part of the Arts festival. I also enjoy taking part in local art exhibitions throughout Buckinghamshire.
